Protocel 23 and Protocel 50 contain the same ingredients but a slightly different ratio of these ingredients. In addition, there is a different timing process used in the manufacturing process.
As far as we know, there is no definitive expiration date for Protocel. We have been told that Protocel bottles tested many years after the manufacture date maintained the same potency.
People use Protocel for a variety of reasons. If you use Protocel for a specific issue or concern, you should consider continuing it for at least one year past the resolution of your issue or concern. However, as with any antioxidant supplement, you might consider continuing to take it every day indefinitely.
We do not make specific recommendations; however there are people who have reported having done research regarding the product. For example Tanya Harter Pierce in her book, “Outsmart Your Cancer,” gives a list of specific uses on page 173.
We believe that you should use distilled water when “pre-mixing” Protocel doses. If you are mixing a dose to drink immediately, any type of purified, filtered or spring water is okay.
Many people use Protocel in the course of other treatments; however, the final decision is yours. Again, make sure that you check with your Doctor.
Although the actual ingredients are a trade secret we can tell you Protocel is a Proprietary Mixture comprised of naturally occurring ingredients STANDARDIZED to include Copper, Potassium, Sodium, Tetrahydroxyquinone, Rhodizonic Acid, CroconicAcid, Triquinoyl, 1,2-dihydroxybenzene, Lueconic Acid, and Pure Water.
This is a good question. Everyone is different and each person needs to evaluate the benefit of this product for him or herself. We do not have control tests to establish this, however we have received many anecdotal reports from people who tell us they have experienced lysing and believe that this is good evidence of Protocel working for them.
Lysing is a scientific term, which means the “breakdown and dissolution”. When people refer to Lysing we understand it to mean the visual evidence of dead cells being removed from the body. It is the body’s elimination of dead cells as waste product.
Once a cell has “Lysed”, the body recognizes it as "waste product" and will send it out the normal avenues waste product leaves our bodies; i.e., bowel movements, urine, sweat, nasal drainage, “sand” in the eyes, tears, ear wax, breathing, etc.
In other words, the waste product can be expelled through any avenue available for the body to eliminate waste.
We believe the best diet to follow when using Protocel is a basic healthy diet without any extremes. We recommend consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats. We also strongly urge that you restrict your intake of sugar and heavily processed foods. This includes pies, cakes, pastries, candies, cookies, donuts, ice cream, juices, alcohol, etc.
Lastly, do not over indulge in foods that are high in Vitamin C.
No. Protocel contains both natural and synthetic ingredients.
We have no evidence that prescription drugs interfere with Protocel or that Protocel interferes with prescription drugs. However special uses of nutrients sometimes ordered by doctors, such as IV Vitamin C or high doses of fish oil, can interfere.
We recommend that people never stop taking medications without their doctor’s approval.
ORAC is a measurement of value similar to voltage, amperage, pounds and calories.
*The ORAC analysis provides a measure of the scavenging capacity of antioxidants against the peroxyl radical, which is one of the most common reactive oxygen species (ROS) found in the body. ORAC hydro reflects water-soluble antioxidant capacity. . Trolox, a water-soluble Vitamin E analog, is used as the calibration standard and the ORAC result is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent (TE) per gram. The acceptable precision of the ORAC assay is 15% relative standard deviation.
Now that we have a unit of measure, what can we do with it? We can determine how effective different foods are in scavenging “free radicals” What are “free radicals”? An atom or group of atoms that has at least one unpaired electron and is therefore unstable and highly reactive. In animal tissues, free radicals can damage cells and are believed to accelerate the progression of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and age-related diseases.
From the above chart you can see purple cabbage has more scavenging effect on free radicals than tomatoes. The better the scavenging effect the better the cleansing of the free radicals (modern medical research reports those are the bad guys who come into the body or are formed within the body and start causing disease).
So according to the chart above, eating purple cabbage will make you healthier than eating tomatoes, as far as scavenging the free radicals goes. The higher the ORAC value the better the scavenging effect.
The test on Protocel Formula 23 by an independent laboratory returned a test result of TE/milliliter of 1,601.29.
The test on Protocel Formula 50 by an independent laboratory returned a test result of TE/gram of 1,155. Ok
Protocel is an antioxidant. This is the primary health benefit of Protocel. An antioxidant is a molecule that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that transfers electrons or hydrogen from a substance to an oxidizing agent. Oxidation reactions can produce free radicals. In turn, these radicals can start chain reactions.
When the chain reaction occurs in a cell, it can cause damage or death to the cell. Antioxidants terminate these chain reactions by removing free radical intermediates, and inhibit other oxidation reactions.
Protocel gets its medicinal taste and smell from one of its ingredients. This ingredient goes through a manufacturing process, which is industry wide and approved by all the different end-user companies.
We can have confidence in the quality of the product because every batch of ingredients we order is assayed at the manufacturing facility and an analysis sheet gives us the data regarding the quality and accuracy of the ingredients in every batch that meets quality control standards. In spite of this there are variations in smell and taste.
Let me use wood as an example to demonstrate why this could be. In furniture making, some woods are lighter in color than others. Two pieces of oak, even from the same tree, can have different colors, although they are the exact same wood.
A stronger or lighter aromatic smell does not mean the Protocel is stronger or weaker; it simply has that different taste and smell. In light of the manufacturing process, there is nothing we can do to make the taste or smell standard. We can, however, make the quality of Protocel as an antioxidant standard.
No, Protocel is not affected by heat. However we recommend keeping Protocel at room temperature.
We use plastic 8 oz. bottles that are BPA free primarily for our customer’s convenience. People usually prefer a smaller, lighter bottle when they travel. Plastic bottles are also less likely to break than glass bottles.
We use pharmaceutical grade PET plastic bottles for this size because this plastic does not leach chemicals into the product as do less expensive plastics and it is strong and less likely to break.
The sediment in Protocel consists of solids that are produced during the manufacturing process and should be remixed into the product by shaking each time you use it.
Yes it may. To minimize teeth stains, rinse your mouth well with water directly after taking Protocel.
If you spill the product on clothing you should rinse the clothing immediately and apply whatever product you normally use to remove stains.
We have changed the label design not the product. The product is the same but we wanted to make the Label design simpler.
